Numerous enhancements make the Elite Rings II more durable and higher performance than ever before.
To improve the appearance of the rings, we are now using a different color plastic for the clear rings (it's more clear, less yellow). The clear rings also now come with silver straps, which look great. The rings are also available in black, with matching black straps. Whether you go for stealth or style, each color option is unique and impressive.

Improved Texture
 We hired a texture design expert to analyze the Elite Rings in hopes that we could improve the tactile feel of the rings. We looked at hundreds of options and came up with a texture that optimizes grip for bare hands, while minimizing skin tearing. Competition style gymnastics rings are textured with a large and aggressive grain. This is great when you are wearing thick leather hand guards, but not so good for bare hands. The original Elite Rings had a lightly textured grain that did not tear up your hands. The Elite Rings II have a more aggressive fine grain texture, which offers a more secure grip than the originals, but still won’t tear up your skin too much. This type of texture also holds chalk extremely well. Better grip equals more muscle-ups!
 Simpler Mounting System
A new pass-through mounting slot in the ring improves the strength of the ring, ease of set-up and eliminates the possibility of breakage. With the original Elite Rings, horizontal shear forces could cause the slots to break. The new design fixes this problem and makes the overall ring stronger, because there is only a single slot in the ring. Plus, you can now mount them over anything, no matter how wide it is.
Greater Durability
 The Elite Rings II are no longer glued together, which was another possible source of failure. In spite of using the best industrial adhesives available, it was still possible for the glue to fail, especially in extreme environments. If the glue failed, the two havles of the ring could separate slightly. The new design overcomes this in two ways. First, the tighter manufacturing tolerance means that no bonding is required to keep the rings together. They snap together and stay in place without glue. Secondly, the two halves are bonded using ultrasonic welding for a nearly unbreakable bond that is as strong as the plastic itself!
 The Elite Rings II still have the same lightweight design as before. Because the rings are made in two pieces, most of the bulk of the ring is replaced with an internal skeleton. This means the weight is greatly reduced, but the strength is still extremely high. A single ring can support loads over 1000 lbs. and weighs less than a pound. We have dropped a ring several times from 15 feet onto a concrete floor and it was undamaged.
